2023 Chik of the Future Awardee

We couldn't be more excited to introduce you to our 2023 Chik of the Future Scholarship winner, Emmalene Pirnie!

Emmalene will be continuing her education at Western New England University’s College of Business in the fall by studying Marketing Communications/Advertising and transitioning into a Five-Year MBA program. "In my career as a woman of color in business, I want to create content for people, by real people. I want to create something meaningful for audiences and communicate through different mediums to meet each audience halfway. With the growth of artificial intelligence in marketing, businesses tend to lose their appeal to individuals as the touch of authenticity lessens and they change their communication strategies to appeal to a general audience. My goal is to be in a position where the content I create for a business makes the consumer and audience feel as though they are buying from a human-owned business that takes into account an individual’s experience rather than a heavily automated business."
