Say hello to Kristin - our next team feature. Kristin has been with a chik since the early days, starting as an intern and eventually was our first hire!
Nickname(s): KP, Krissy P
Chik Title: PR & Digital Communications Manager
First Job: Splish Splash Waterpark...I was the front gate girl. Checking bags, scanning tickets, and confiscating food lol And sometimes they had me go down the water slides in my uniform (khaki shorts and heavy polo shirt...no bathing suit) when parties of 1 needed someone to fill a tube, so I'd go down the slide with them.
Favorite Food: Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream...that counts for every meal right?
Favorite Color: Yellow (even though I'm too pale to wear it)
What makes your heart happy: Crossing something off my bucket list and when my family is all together in one place (doesn't happen often since my brother is in the Marine Corps)
Top 3 most listened to songs: Body (by Loud Luxury), That's How Country Feels (Randy Houser), The Bones (Maren Morris)
I never leave the house without: Travel size sunblock for my purse (in the summer lol)
Current Obsession: Breaking Bad series, and Levain Bakery since it's only 6 blocks away from my NYC apartment (it's all about dessert)
After a long day, pour me a large glass of: Sangria
What would people be surprised to learn about you? I've always considered joining the military...Annapolis (Naval Academy) was in my top list of schools I was considering applying to when doing my college search
One of my life-long goals is: Send my parents on a vacation to their dream location (Italy and Hawaii), go bungee jumping in New Zealand (this was more recently added to my bucket list to keep my sense of adventure alive lol), Create some type of service to active duty military and/or their families (work with the USO consistently and/or do my own giveaway through my side business Kristin's Kreations, or contribute annually to an already established giveaway or service to the USO)
Favorite part of being a Chik? The other chiks I get to call my teammates and friends!
Advice you'd give your younger self: Use moisturizer/lotion every day (wrinkles on your chest at 25 years old is annoying...my mom was always right about the lotion), don't compare yourself so much to others and don't try to plan so far ahead (it'll save you from a lot of headaches)
Hey girl (and guy), we're so glad you're here. ChikChat is our version of an informative blog that keeps you up to date on all the latest marketing trends, fabulous business owners and must-see hot spots. So pour a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and get comfy.
