Tell us a bit about your company! What do you do? What is your mission?
Sblended is a community focused on health, happiness and balance! In addition to serving healthy protein shakes and energizing teas, we are committed to helping everyone reach their health and wellness goals! Whether someone is looking to lose weight, gain muscle, increase their energy or simply incorporate something healthy into their day, we have it all! We all need proper nutrition to fuel us through each day, so our mission is to impact and educate as many people in the community and beyond that we can!

How did you get started with your business? What made you decide to join this industry?
I first got started in this business when I was in college, I fell in love with building relationships and making people feel better! I knew that I always wanted to own my own business one day, I just hadn’t quite found my passion yet. I ventured off into the corporate marketing world where I found myself sitting at a desk five days a week, uninterested by the work I was doing for someone else. I found my passion in health and wellness and decided to create a community surrounded by good vibes and great nutrition in the North Shore! Knowing that I have made someones day better, or made them feel better leaving then when they walked in as something so fulfilling for me!

​What does it mean to you to be a small business owner on the North Shore?
Being a small business owner on the North Shore means being a part of an incredible community. The love and support everyone has shown us only makes me want to give it right back to them 10 times more! I'm so grateful that I get to start each day serving up good vibes to good people! It is my goal to help as many people on the North Shore and beyond live a healthier lifestyle with happiness and balance!

What is your favorite part of being a business owner?
My favorite part of being a business owner is being able to call the shots! I love that I can make my own decisions without having to consult with "the boss." It's certainly a challenge at times, being an individual running the entire business, but I am so lucky to have many mentors and other successful boss babes in my corner whenever I need advice...you all know who you are ;)

When you were growing up, what is your ultimate dream job? If it's this, how does it feel to have met your dream?! If it was something different, how did your dream change over time?
Growing up, I always wanted to be a hairdresser and own my own salon. This stemmed from my mother's career as a hairstylist and entrepreneur. She was and is the best role model I could ask for! She convinced me to get a college education before going to hairdressing school, where I thrived and found my passion for helping people with their health and wellness goals. (And never made it to hairdressing school) I guess you could say that it was always my dream to own a business where I could make people feel good about themselves - and here I am, doing just that in another way!

Every business owner faces challenges. How are you empowered to overcome yours?
My community truly keeps. me. going. Each day when faced with a challenge, whether it be big or small, I'm reminded that challenges are meant to teach me a lesson. Rather than harping on the issue at hand, I try to nip it in the bud and come up with a reasonable solution.
